Useful resource: Gibson Research Corporation

The conversations on strong passwords reminded me of this excellent resource. It's primarily for Windows users, but it's an invauable source of computer security information that isn't industry-managed: Steve Gibson's Gibson Research Corporation. Besides the "Perfect Passwords" generator, it's also the home of ShieldsUp, the port scanning test to make sure your computer is secure from the outside world.
